Cape Cod Vacation Reviews, Information, and Memories |

Cape Cod, Massachusetts
Although Cape Cod is not in a tropical climate, it is still a great beach vacation. The best time to go in anywhere from late june to early october as the weather there is wonderful in these months. Cape Cod is unlike any other place I've been to. The seashore and majority of the Cape is protected against further development. So all you have up there is pure beach country.

There is only one Mcdonalds on the enitre cape which can take about 2-3 hours to drive from base to tip. There also is one Burger King and One Wendys along the way. Other than that it is completely undeveloped. Trees and flowers everywhere, and quaint little cottages around every corner. Usually we stay in Orleans, which is located in the elbow of the cape. There are many wonderful restaurants here including, The Lobster Pound, a more expensive place, to The Lobster Claw, a family place. I'd also recommend Captain Elmers, you must try their prime rib! Also on Nauset beach located in Orleans, you must try some of the famous onion rings at Liams little beach shack, theyre fabulous. The bay of Cape Cod is also known as one of the few places on earth where the greatest tidal movements occur. On one of the many bay beaches when the tide is in the water can reach 20 feet deep around 500 feet off shore, but when the tide is out you can literally walk for miles and miles and the deepest the water will reach is up to your ankles.

This is a truely amazing experience and a wonderful opportunity to collect shells and spot sea critters. Going to Cape Cod has been a family tradition for years, it is such a wonderful experience because it is so different than anywhere else, oh and lobster lovers beware, you can stuff your self silly full of fresh lobster on this vacation!
